The Women's Health Conference features national speakers and few home-grown experts in health, nutrition, and fitness. We want each attendee to leave feeling good about the choices she makes, revive her passion for her own health, and dare to pamper herself - do what she needs for her mind, body and spirit.
Hundreds of women participate in hands-on activities, listen to experts, enjoy the company of others, and laugh. In each keynote and breakout session, women find a message that connects directly to their personal journey. Those messages are often a jumping-off point, an "ah-ha!" moment for further discovery. The conference allows women to take the time to reflect on her life, gather ideas to make improvements and continue in confidence with strategies for healthier living.
We know the path towards health is not a single road, idea, or perspective. Health has a base foundation of the physical, mental and spiritual. Spirit, comes from the Latin word spiritus meaning soul, courage, vigor, breath and while spirituality comes from many perspectives, essentially it's how we imagine we are connected and where meaning is found. Human connection and meaning are just as important to a person's overall well-being as regular exercise and nutrition, and mental health. At the conference, women witness they are not alone in their health journey and by being healthy, strong and light-hearted, their impact on others has many deep and positive repercussions.
At the conference we are reminded that it is a privilege and a responsibility to determine and own our health destiny. We learn to define what health means, how to get there, and to provide ourselves with the permission to take care of ourselves. After the conference, women return to their real life, family and work with armed with new ideas, activities, and reminded of good habits, often making new, positive changes to their health.
