On May 23, 2016 Over 300 women will gather to focus on their wellness during the Women’s Health Conference. Women who take time for themselves to recharge and reinvigorate their health habits experience better long-term wellbeing. The Women’s Health Conference delivers tools and truths to advance wellness and provides opportunities to instill healthy attitudes.
“The conference challenges attendees to new health goals,” says committee chair Mary Ann Foss, retired director of Women’s Way of North Dakota, “and empowers women with tools and resources to increase their healthy food choices and connect opportunities where they can be regularly active.”
Fitness and nutrition experts provide proven information for the role of nutrition and physical activity in improving women’s health to prevent and control chronic disease and attendees learn to make the best informed decisions for their health.
“I left truly inspired, with a new "me" purpose,” wrote an attendee from last year's event, “and it felt wonderfully fulfilling in taking time out for me that day.”
“Women learn from each other, they boost each other’s motivation,” continues Foss, “We gain inspiration from the expert knowledge from energetic speakers like Zonya Foco, laugh and learn with Amy Dee, and practice good behaviors with Melanie Carvell. We leave with the motivation to make healthy lifestyle changes.”
