Navigating your ever-changing health needs; helping you understand what you need to know to continue to feel your best in every phase of your life.
Navigating your ever-changing health needs for the many phases of a woman’s life can sometimes be challenging. Come prepared to have an open conversation about what you need to know to continue to feel your best in every phase of your life. We will cover:
Jean Marie McGowan, MD was born & raised in Brooklyn, NY. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the SUNY at Binghamton in 2008. She attended the American University of the Caribbean for medical school where the first 2 years were located on the beautiful, friendly island of St Maarten. She completed clinicals all over NYC & the UK before going back to the AUC to teach 1ST & 2ND year medical students. In 2013, she started Internal Medicine residency at the University of North Dakota in Fargo. After falling in love with this midwestern community, she stayed to partner with Sanford to build a strong & comprehensive clinic to improve health care for women. When not working, Jean Marie runs, (for fun) & sings. She tries to travel when she can but her most favorite time is giving belly rubs to her incredibly smart, loving maltipoo, Minnie.
Siri Thaden, RN Care Manager served as Miss Minnesota 2012 with her personal mission of women’s heart disease prevention and health education. She was the public ambassador for the Lillehei Heart Institute, media spokesperson for the Minnesota Department of Health's Statewide Health Improvement Program, and conducted research with women’s cardiac supports groups at the Minneapolis Heart Institute. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse and certified Public Health Nurse. Her interest in radio lead her to host shows in Minneapolis and Fargo, but her desire to help women on a personal level brought her to Sanford. She now serves as an RN Care Manager at Sanford Health, writer for Area Woman Magazine, and co-chair of the Nursing Research Council at Sanford.
Dr. Jean Marie McGowan and Siri Thaden, RN Care Manager are speaking at the Women's Health Conference on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Delta by Marriott. Tickets are $75.
