If my Mom taught me one thing, it was to love myself first.
Loving yourself doesn’t mean that you are selfish, it means that you are strong enough to accept your imperfections and embrace the person that you are – and most importantly to accept the person that you are. If you don’t love yourself first, how are you supposed to love somebody else? Or allow someone else to love you?
People become so caught up in finding someone to love and then being loved in return, that they forget about the importance of loving themselves.
As woman, we tend to be our own worst critic. Nobody else notices when your hair didn’t work out as planned, or the fact that your jeans don’t fit like they used to – just like you don’t notice those things about other woman. That being said, stop beating yourself up over it! Learn to love all of your imperfections and even embrace them! Be confident in who you are as a person, and love yourself for who you are and what you believe in.
Love YOURSELF this Valentine’s Day!
