How often do you take the time to sit down and problem solve how to cope with stressful situations? If you're like most busy women, not too often (if at all)! Coping with Stress: Crowning Your Health is designed to do just that. Utilizing an evidence-based approach to identify stressors, personal signs & symptoms of stress, practice coping techniques, and plan ways to prevent stress's harmful effects, Aly walks participants through the creation of their personalized plan that can be put into action immediately. The result is the ability to foster an improved quality of life through effectively and positively coping with stress.
Graduating with a Masters of Occupational Therapy from the University of North Dakota in 2007, Aly has worked in the areas of mental health and addictions. It is from those experiences of helping people regain their lives that she developed the four step program “Coping with Stress: Crowning Your Health.” Speaking to crowds ranging from hundreds of students to small community service groups, Aly empowers individuals to invest in positive coping skills and stress prevention techniques for an improved quality of life.
In her current roles at St. Alexius Medical Center and the University of Mary as Adjunct Professor, her passion for education has flourished to the point of pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Foundations and Research.
Aly is proud to be a fifth generation North Dakota farm girl who currently lives in Bismarck with her husband Kyle. She is also honored to serve in the role as Mrs. North Dakota America 2013.
