Each year, attendees of the Women’s Health Conference in Bismarck and Fargo experience the expertise of nationally renowned, and local experts who offer up more than platitudes, rather tools, tips and choices to make their lives a little better.

Heidi Mihelich Demars is a multi-passionate community builder. She is a 2013 Bush Fellow, Co-op Developer, and Certified Non-Profit Professional. She thrives on creating connections between consumers and producers and working with others to improve the quality of life in the Bismarck-Mandan community. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree from UND in Interdisciplinary Studies with a track in Ecology and Health, and a minor in Nonprofit Leadership. She cares deeply about ND and advancing sustainable agriculture in our state.
She is one of the founders of the BisMan Community Food Co-op which is a consumer-owned cooperative with over 2,5000 active member-owners. The co-op opened its doors in May 2016 and offers a wide variety of fresh, healthy, and local foods. In addition to healthy foods, the co-op offers a community education space where they host a number of cooking classes and workshops.
